"A Side Note" is a mostly live EP featuring Bill's band, The Dread Pirate Roberts. It is primarily blues-rock driven and begins with the fan-favorite, "Crashing Down". The 4 songs that follow are the live tracks. These reference everyone from Jimi Hendrix to The Rolling Stones to AC/DC at times. "All Over Again" is an ethereal track whose solo references David Gilmour of Pink Floyd. "Hats Off to Jimmy Page" is a nod to "Hats Off to Roy Harper" from Led Zeppelin's 3rd album. It features Derek Smith from the popular tribute band, Led Zepagain, on drums (John Bonham was unavailable). The track, A Side Note, is, well....pretty self explanatory once you hear it. It's interesting to note that the single note that is played is an "A" note.
